Migratory Bird Day May 9 FREE
The Big Lake Environment Support Society (BLESS) hosts an annual World Migratory Bird Day event in early May at Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park in Alberta
Fun partners feature guided birdwatching, nature talks, and family-friendly educational displays. ERVCC will be there with an educational booth focused on this year’s theme “Every Bird Counts – Your Observations Matter!” Please contact ERVCC if you have accessibility needs. There are slopes involved in accessing the main site. The site is billed as offering high accessibility, with wheelchair-friendly paved paths, a 1.27-km boardwalk through the John E. Poole Wetland, and accessible parking. Located near St. Albert, it provides easy nature access via gravel and paved trails, benches for resting, and an accessible wildlife viewing platform
