The Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE) and others are working to hightlight the evidence connecting human health to planatary health. Dr Melissa Lem of CAPE co founded the PaRx program which brings this work mainstream.
From the PaRx website, ”Traditional Indigenous ways of knowing, which include Natural or First Laws that view human and ecosystem health as deeply interconnected, have recognized the importance of connecting to the land since time immemorial. PaRx acknowledges that its work in a modern Western medical context builds on these ways of knowing and healing.”
ERVCC is keeping an eye on PaRx, Canada’s Nature Presription. We have recently reached out to see if we can partner. In the meantime reach if you are in a Dr/Patient relationship or working in healthcare, visit the link above to learn more.
